Who We Are
In 1998, Grameen Foundation began working in India, and in 2010, it established Grameen Foundation India (GFI). Subsequently, in 2012, the Grameen Foundation for Social Impact(GFSI) was set up.
Grameen Foundation India Private Limited (GFI) is a for-profit company under the Indian Companies Act 1956, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Grameen Foundation USA. We provide advisory support/service to pro-poor organizations in the research, data collection, monitoring, and application of easy-to-understand client/beneficiary-level data to amplify their impact. These include government entities, bi and multilateral institutions, and global, regional, and national civil society organizations (philanthropic and corporate organizations/foundations, and NGOs).

Our Approach to Create Lasting Impact
Grameen’s programming approach is based on a deep understanding of the needs and barriers faced by low-income people from disadvantaged communities and is driven by use cases to address gaps in awareness, access, adoption, and quality. We address demand and supply-side barriers through deep community engagement, scalable models, leveraging technology applications and innovative partnerships to prime our solutions for adoption, scale, and sustainability.
