BC Network Experiments and Demonstrating Scale (BEADS)

This is an India-wide program that drives informed pilots (action-research) with established Business Correspondent Network Managers (BCNMs) by testing more cost-effective and agile ways of establishing and onboarding new business correspondent agents (BC Agents). Additionally, it is also improving the viability of individual agents by testing various approaches of diversifying and increasing revenues. The program targets and benefits about 1,200 BC Agents and 250,000 customers across the country.

The program works on two overarching objectives – to create self-employment opportunities for young women as female business correspondents (BCs), and to create social impact through the realization of entitlements and adoption of financial and livelihood services by low-income populations leading to financial security and well-being.
